Oil and gas company Beach Energy has announced it will suspend operations at the newly-developed Katnook Gas Processing Facility next financial year. The company says production from the Otway Basin is down 23 per cent due to natural field decline and operations will be suspended at the plant during the 2021-22 financial year. Last October the EPA issued an Environmental Protection Order over a potential leak from the site’s stormwater pond.
